All Phone Companies NOW deny providing NSA phone call records!!

What are we to think now? Was the USA Today report simply false? Was this all just a big mistake or a planted story to stir up the media and the masses? Or are the phone compnaies under ORDERS from the NSA to deny the program "on grounds of National Security"?
